My original charger, which came with the car when new 4 years ago, stopped working, so I phoned Third Rock to discuss the one most suitable to replace it. The person I spoke to was very knowledgeable and helpful and took the order over the phone because I was having trouble ordering it online. It’s so rare nowadays to be able to speak to speak to anyone when there are problems with an order, so top marks to Third Rock for their attention to customer care. I chose the 16 amp version with a commando connector, with an adaptor to a three pin mains socket. It all worked perfectly at 10 Amps charging, but I will be able to use 16 amps when I have installed an outside commando socket. My car doesn’t have high speed charging, but I’m coming to the conclusion that even 32 amps reduces the battery life. The charger works really well, with a start delay up to 12 hours (I have 7 hours of Economy7) and a very helpful read out of total charge and charging time. Absolutely top marks all round!

Excellent well made product. Good to have a delay start timer and to be able to change the output. I did find the instructions of the timer and output setup a bit confusing, they could have been written a bit better.

Had it for a couple of weeks, actually bought two separate brands, the other one being from Screwfix/BnQ. This one, the Third Rock Energy charger, was so much better, could handle a higher amperage for faster charging and was far more robust. Absolutely confident in my purchase after using it.
